Brigid Spring's Off-Grid Camp’s 5-acre glampsite will be free of humans, but does not prohibit deer, porcupines, grouse, eagles and owls from trespassing.
The Farmstead Cottage is steps away from the ever-flowing Brigid Spring, and has electricity and a comfy queen-size bed, plus a loft with a full-size mattress. The charming pine cabin (built from trees harvested onsite) features a stone fire pit, fully equipped screened-in outdoor kitchen with two-burner cooktop, private outhouse and solar shower. The cottage is located in the heart of the farmstead, yet still maintains a feeling of privacy. You'll probably see our flock of laying hens free-ranging in the orchard. This summer our three pigs live nearby, so you can observe their entertaining antics at your leisure. Other digital-free amenities include books, cribbage, puzzles, board games, zero gravity chairs and hammock.
In decades past, Brigid Spring’s neighborhood was home to a trio of now-defunct all-inclusive summer resorts. These days, we carry on the tradition of "western Maine foothills hospitality" with our digital detox getaways, farmstead elopements and micro weddings. There’s a sweet little public beach, just over a mile from camp, with some of the best lake swimming anywhere. The cabins are within walking distance of a mountain trail to a rocky peak with beautiful panoramas. Although the pinnacle is 1,700 feet above sea level, it's not too strenuous of a climb. Take a bike ride on unbusy dirt roads, winding through the sparsely populated (by humans) neighborhood, surrounded by mountains brimming with wildlife. Or you could spend your Digital Detox Getaway just hanging out at Brigid Spring, reading, napping, feasting, playing games, enjoying the campfire or listening to the wind whispering through the tall pines and mighty oaks.
Beautiful Lake Annasagunticook is located just over a mile from Brigid Spring and has a public beach with amazing swimming, kayaking and paddleboarding.
