WOMEN GROW GREAT CANNABIS

June 21 - October 5, 2025

Learn to cultivate organic cannabis under the sun. This course covers everything you need to know to grow and harvest bountiful backyard plants, plus how to make extracts, topicals and edibles. Women Grow Great Cannabis includes a daylong Crash Course in Cannabis Cultivation at Brigid Spring  (June 21), bi-monthly Zoom check-ins with Q&As (July through September) and a celebratory harvest lunch at Brigid Spring (October 5.) Receive three seedlings, compost & botanical tea recipes and a bottle of tincture. Limited to 12 women.
Know where your weed comes from! Growing your own gives you peace of mind, with the certainty your homegrown doesn’t contain harmful chemicals, heavy metals or pesticides. Cultivating your own backyard plants enables you to stop contributing to the energy-intensive factory-grown commercial cannabis industry. Gardening is a fulfilling and enjoyable way to spend your hours and spare yourself time wasting visits to the dispensary and commercial cannabis' excess packaging. Save your hard-earned money too. And thanks to Maine law, you can gift what you grow and create (i.e. edibles, tinctures and topicals) to grateful friends and family.

This grow coaching program for women will provide you with the knowledge and confidence to:
  • care for cannabis at all stages of life, from seedling to vegetative to flowering
  • start seeds, propagate from cuttings and source seedlings
  • know your ideal grow location & decide whether to grow in containers or in the earth
  • support, train, thin and prune your plants
  • feed your plants (and soil) with amendments & compost teas
  • prevent and control pests and disease organically with beneficial insects, companion planting and botanical foliar sprays
  • harvest, dry and cure your flower to perfection
  • create healing and helpful extracts, topicals and edibles from your own lovingly grown cannabis plants

Meet your Grow Guide

Hi, I'm Shana. I've been a professional medical cannabis grower for fifteen years, providing organic flower to Maine cannabis patients and two woman-owned dispensaries. I'm also an herbalist with lots of experience making botanical extracts and topicals.

Cannabis has been criticized, criminalized, marginalized, capitalized, exploited and pushed into closets and dank basements, but she's out in the light of the sun again (& legal for 21+ Mainers to grow.) I'm honored to teach others how she be can cultivated in their own backyards with the reverence, love and care she deserves.

This program is for you if you're a complete beginner or you've tried growing cannabis before and want to improve your grow. A green thumb is helpful, but curiosity, attention to detail and a desire to learn are all that's necessary.

I'll lead you through a fun and knowledge-packed Crash Course in Cannabis Cultivation at Brigid Spring. Then I'll guide you through the changing needs of the plant as she matures and provide valuable feedback and advice throughout the grow season. We'll join together again in October to celebrate the harvest at Brigid Spring
.
